I can't find any information on this fascinating artifact.   Portable pottery stoves seem to have been in use throughout Southeast Asia for many centuries, and would burn either wood or charcoal.  Its portability would make it useful for nomadic people.   We would love to know more about this artifact.

We also have some old primitive clay stoves that were made during the Communist Revolution, when the government promised each family a stove, and then delivered on its promise by making these fire pots en masse.
