Bas Relief Wall Tiles

Modern reproductions of tang tiles that clearly show the influence of trade with India and Tibet in Tang art. They depict two deities. The figure on the right is clearly a gaurdian deity. It is surrounded by flames, has simian features and carries swords in both hands and feet. this kind of image would have a protective influence on the building that it would be mounted on.
