Overglaze enamel Vase

First the ware is glazed, and high-fired. Then it is carefully painted over (often the outline is transferred on first) and low-fired at about 1000 degrees centigrade. Overglaze enamels are often characterized by very bright colors, sometimes with gold leaf, and bold motifs.
